Privacy policy
Short version: Space Dino doesn't ask who you are, doesn't use cookies and doesn't sell anything about you. Your progress is saved on your own device.
This policy covers the Space Dino website (spacedino.app), the web version of the game at spacedino.app/play/, and the Space Dino apps for iOS, Android and desktop when they are released. "We" means the Space Dino developer.
What we don't collect
- No accounts, names, email addresses, phone numbers or contacts.
- No cookies, no advertising IDs, no fingerprinting and no tracking across other sites or apps.
- No location, camera, microphone or photos.
- No ads.
Saved on your device
The game remembers your progress, coins, cosmetics, achievements, best scores and settings in your browser's local storage (keys starting with spacedino:). In the apps, the same data is kept in the app's own storage, and the desktop version writes a save file on your computer. None of it is sent to us. Clearing your browser's site data, or uninstalling the app, deletes it.
When you install the web version or play offline, your browser keeps a copy of the game's files (a service worker cache). That's the game itself, not information about you.
Anonymous play statistics
The game has optional support for anonymous, cookieless event counting (for example "world cleared"), but it is switched off on this website today, so the game sends no statistics. If we ever switch it on, it will carry only the event name, the page address without any query string and a few numbers about the game, never an identifier, it will respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control, and we'll update this page first.
The iOS, Android and desktop builds never include analytics.
Things you choose to do
- Sharing: the SHARE button uses your device's share sheet or copies a link. We don't see what you share or with whom.
- Tip jar (web): tips are handled by Stripe on Stripe's own page. We never see your card details. Stripe's privacy policy applies there.
- Tip jar and purchases (apps): handled by the App Store or Google Play under their terms. We only learn that a purchase succeeded, so the game can unlock it.
- Suggestions: the SUGGESTIONS button opens a Google Form. Whatever you type there is sent to Google Forms, under Google's privacy policy. Please don't include personal details.
Hosting
Like any website, our web host receives the standard technical information your browser sends when it loads a page (such as your IP address and browser type), and may keep it briefly in server logs for security and reliability. We don't use these logs to identify anyone. The website loads no third-party scripts or fonts.
Children
Space Dino is made to be fine for all ages. Because we don't collect personal information from anyone, we don't knowingly collect it from children either.
