Space Dino is live in your browser

A baby dinosaur, a borrowed jetpack and ten worlds of rubber-hose cartoon bosses. Free, right now, no download.

Space Dino flying through Asteroid Alley, dodging fireballs and a solar flare beam.

GOOD NEWS, EVERYONE! The time machine works, the jetpack works, and as of today Space Dino works in your browser. Press the big PLAY button on the front page and you're in. No download, no account, no sign-up form asking for your mother's maiden name.

Note to self: invent a shorter safety briefing. Here it is anyway:

Point the dino at the asteroid. Do not point the asteroid at the dino.

What's in the box

  • Story mode: ten worlds on a star map, from Asteroid Alley to the Extinction Asteroid itself. Each world has two or three asteroid stages and a boss at the end.
  • Bosses with opinions. Mr. Scorch thinks everything revolves around him (it's a sun thing). Mecha-Man would like you to HOLD STILL, FOR YOUR SAFETY. Luna Lunatic is not a daytime person. Big Bertha just wants to know if they're feeding you up there.
  • Special moves: fireballs that bounce, a laser, a flamethrower, a dash, a shield, pink shots you can parry, and Pterry the sidekick on call.
  • Cutscenes with a bedtime story, a mysterious prologue set in the year 3024, and a lot of radio calls from Grandpa Rex. He's figuring out the talk button. Give him time.
  • A shop full of hats, glasses, capes, skins and jet paint, bought with the coins you scoop up mid-flight.

Play it your way

Keyboard (three layouts, all live at once), a gamepad, or the touch controls on a phone or tablet. Turn your phone sideways: Space Dino plays sideways. You can also install it from your browser to your home screen and it'll play offline, which I'm told is very useful in a cave 66 million years ago.

That's all from the lab. I still have BOTH eyebrows, by the way. For now.
